This tutorial is only for TRANSCEND corrupted/write protected pen drives. For how to fix Pendrive of other brands or for USB drives that are not formatting; try googling EaseUs, Minitool partition wizard, or DiskPart command.
This solution has fixed my 128GB Transcend Pendrive in 2 minutes by updating the firmware. I contacted their technical team and from them I got the link to download this software. The name of the software is JetFlash Online Recovery
It worked!
I had a 128GB Pendrive or USB drive or what you call. I bought it from Transcend. It was formatted in exFAT and then in NTFS. Suddenly it became write-protected!
Even when EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard did not work
Even when the Mini Tool Partition wizard did not work
Even when DISKPART did not work
This worked!
The solution is to download the online recovery tool from the below link to recover (re-initialize) your JetFlash.
How to FIX corrupted Transcend Pendrive
First try normally formatting, formatting using another computer, or using DISKPART. If that does not work, try this:
(Note! This step will erase all the data stored in your JetFlash, please backup your data first.)
- Download JetFlash Online Recovery from this LINK
https://www.transcend-info.com/Support/Software-3/# - Click on Download and click on JetFlash Series
- Install the software to Windows
- Insert your USB into the computer and take a backup of everything if possible
- Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet while doing the online recovery.
- Let the software download the software from the internet
- The firmware will be downloaded and flashed on your USB stick
- Eject and insert again.
- Done!
You get a 100% working Transcend USB Pendrive as new.
